One of Five

Having 4 siblings seems alien to most people I speak to. I love the reaction I get when I tell people, it’s almost the same reaction I get when I say I don’t like Lord of the Rings – a look of horror.

I want to start a ‘Sister’ section on my blog, not unlike the Mum bloggers out there. I’m not 100% sure how successful it will be but like every other feature on here I’ll do it for fun anyway.

I should probably explain about my siblings before I go on.

I am 19 (and a half) and am the eldest child to my parents. I have a 15 year old brother, a 6 year old sister and a 3 year old brother and sister who are twins.

all of us

Yes, we all have the same parents.

Yes, I’m aware there’s a big age gap.

Oh and yes, I do try to help my parents out as much as I can.

Nope, I don’t like any of them the least.

Anything else? I’m sure there is something else you have to say!

Now that’s cleared up, I’ll go on.

I am very close to all of my siblings and my parents which I think is pretty common in bigger families. There’s always somebody to talk to or to ask a question to and it’s very rare that there’s nobody for me to turn to.

I talk about my family a lot and I didn’t actually realise this until I went to uni and realised other people don’t talk about theirs as much. Not that it bothers me at all, it actually made me realise that I’m really lucky to be in the family that I’m in.

As always, if anybody  has any suggestions or wants to comment feel free!

Love as always,
Abigail x
